Contest 55CS Impressive Performance for a globe-trotting cruiser

The option to safely and comfortably criss-cross the world's oceans with a small crew, benefiting at all times from superior sailing characteristics. This was the key concept behind the original design of the Contest 55CS by Doug Peterson. The 55CS is equally at home gliding elegantly through quiet waters as she is steering a robust course through heavy weather and high waves. And her speed will come as a surprise regardless of how much wind there is. While the yacht can easily be handled by a crew of two, she is spacious enough to carry up to eight people in comfort. Built using the vacuum injection method, the yacht has a lighter, stronger and stiffer hull, which in turn guarantees excellent sailing parameters. The exceptional performance is further enhanced by the wing keel, which is fitted as standard.

Both above and below decks, spaciousness, luxury and privacy are assured. And with a choice of three interior options, you can customize the yacht's layout and materials to your own requirements. Small wonder that the Contest 55CS is renowned as an ocean cruiser for the most discerning of sailors.

Two Interior Options

A party of eight can relax in style in the saloon, which is warm and inviting. This interior is designed to maximize comfort onboard during long periods at sea. Various interior options can be chosen, in which you can ensure that your yacht converts your personal style.

Above Deck

The modern deck layout makes it immediately apparent that this yacht is optimized for sailing with a small crew. The mainsail and genoa are easy to operate from the cockpit and the balances spade rudder ensures the yacht is light and responsive to steer.
